Refund & Returns Policy

Your statutory rights
Nothing below limits or excludes the protections you have under South-African law:
- Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) – six-month implied warranty of quality.
- If a product fails within six months of delivery you may demand a repair, replacement or full refund.
- Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA) – seven-day cooling-off period for most online purchases.
- You may return the item for any reason within seven days of delivery for a full refund (you pay the return shipping unless the item is defective).
Change-of-mind returns (our 30-day promise)
We accept returns that are requested within 30 days after you receive your item, provided that:
- the item is unused, unwashed and unworn;
- all original tags and packaging are intact; and
- you can provide the receipt or other proof of purchase.
Excluded items (unless faulty): gift cards, earrings, hair accessories, personalised goods and clearance items marked “final sale”.
3 – How to return an item
- E-mail pret.artistry@gmail.com with your order number, the item(s) you wish to return and the reason.
- Wait for our approval e-mail; we will issue a return-authorisation number and packing instructions.
- Arrange a trackable courier at your own cost and ship the parcel to:
15 Tulbach Street, Hillcrest, Kimberley 8301, South Africa
within seven days of receiving the authorisation.
Parcels sent without a return-authorisation will be refused.
4 – Damaged, defective or incorrect items
Inspect your order on arrival. If anything is damaged, defective or not what you ordered, contact us within seven days (include photos if possible). We will arrange free collection and you may choose a repair, replacement or full refund (including original delivery cost), as required by the CPA.
5 – Refunds
- We will e-mail you once your return is received and inspected.
- Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days to your original payment method.
- Bank processing may add 2–3 days. If you have not seen the credit after 14 days, please contact us.
6 – Exchanges (one-of-a-kind items)
Because every Pret Artistry handbag is truly one-of-a-kind, an exact replacement is rarely available. If you would like to exchange:
- Follow the return steps in Section 3 and state “exchange” in your e-mail, together with a link or description of the alternative bag you are interested in.
- We will confirm within two business days whether the requested item is still available.
- If the item is available, we will reserve it for 48 hours pending inspection of your return. Once the original bag passes inspection we will ship the replacement.
- If no suitable alternative is available, the return will be processed as a refund (see Section 5) or, at your option, as store credit valid for six months.
Tip: because each piece is unique, we recommend purchasing the new bag immediately and returning the original for a refund to avoid disappointment.
